Raststätte Germany

On this page you will find information about the various raststätte in Germany where you can encounter parked heavy transport trucks. Of course you can encounter exceptional transports everywhere along the German highways, but there are still some raststätte that are worth visiting. I will mention this below.

Overview parking places

Autobahn A1

Raststätte Stillhorn : East side many transports to port area and West side many empty transports from the port, but sometimes also loaded trucks.

Raststätte Wildeshausen : you can regularly see exceptional transports on both sides. Note: on the North side regular windmill transports to the south.

Raststätte Dammer Berge : you can regularly see exceptional transports on both sides. Note: regular windmill transports to the south on the west side.

Raststätte Münsterland : you can regularly see exceptional transports on both sides.

Raststätte Buddikate : you can regularly see exceptional transports on both sides.

Autobahn A2

Raststätte Börde : Almost every day many exceptional transports are parked on both sides.

Raststätte Auetal : you can regularly see exceptional transports on both sides.

Raststätte Buckautal : many length transports can be seen on both sides.

Autobahn A5

Raststätte Wetterau : You can regularly see exceptional transports on both sides, with the West side (towards Frankfurt) the most visible.

Raststätte Gräfenhausen : Usually exceptional transport can be seen on the west side.

Autobahn A6

Raststätte Frankenhöhe : you can regularly see exceptional transports on both sides.

Raststätte Hohenlohe : you can regularly see exceptional transports on both sides.

Raststätte Kammersteiner Land : you can regularly see exceptional transports on both sides.

Autobahn A7

Raststätte Ellwanger Berge : you can regularly see exceptional transports on both sides.

Raststätte Holmmoor : West side a lot of windmill transports and East side a lot of transport to the North.

Raststätte Harburger Berge : West side many transports to the south and transports that come empty from the port areas. East side many transports to the port of Hamburg.

Raststätte Harz : you can regularly see exceptional transports on both sides.

Rastsätte Göttingen : you can regularly see exceptional transports on both sides.

Raststätte Allertal : you can regularly see exceptional transports on both sides.

Autobahn A9

Raststätte Osterfeld : you can regularly see exceptional transports on both sides. Note: on the West side extra heavy transport parking strip installed.

Autobahn A14

Raststätte Plötzetal : you can regularly see exceptional transports on both sides.

Autobahn A61

Raststätte Brohltal : daily many exceptional transports on both sides.

Raststätte Peppenhoven : you can regularly see exceptional transports on both sides.

Diversen

Dessauer Strasse (Hamburg port area, Osvald Terminal) Attention: It is forbidden to enter the parking lot of the terminal !!! Everything is easy to photograph from the outside because of the low fence.

Heavy transport car park Kreuz Meckenheim, is on the A61 (towards the Netherlands) between exits 30 and 29.

And this is located between the two large raststätte Brohltal and Peppenhoven on the same route.

This parking lot is only for heavy transport and there is a lot to see every day. It can be very busy sometimes.
